Rural Housing loans are made by lenders and administered by the Rural Housing Service(RHS).  To be eligible the property must be located in rural areas with a population of up to 10,000 in metropolitan statistical areas (MSA) and up to 20,000 outside of an (MSA).  RHS loans can be used toward the purchase and renovation of a previoulsy owned home or a new construction.  Also borrowers must have an adjusted household income with in rural development guidelines.
